At the beginning of March 2023, most of the house was refurnished and the interior repainted. The Canary Island date palm tree in front of the house gives the house its new name. Until now, the house was called "Casa Safran". Casa Palmera Canaria, which is now the new name of the holiday home, is part of a historic finca. There is another house on the grounds, with which it shares the large pool. The beautiful holiday home has spacious rooms and lots of comfort. A large balcony and a separate patio offer plenty of peace and privacy. A magnificent view of the sea and the mountains complete the offer.

A gas central heating (gas consumption is charged) is available on cooler winter days. Underfloor heating provides pleasant temperatures in the bathroom and sauna. The entire house is quite spacious and modern, but partly furnished in a more rustic style. Comfort is standard here.
In the rural and quiet surroundings you will find many beautiful old houses. Nevertheless, you can reach banks, shops, doctors, petrol station
restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance. Hiking trails can be found in the nearby Cumbrecita. The nice, small capital
of the island, Santa Cruz de La Palma, is less than 30 minutes away by rental car.

The bathroom "en suite" is in classic style, it has a large marble shower with rain shower head, WC, bidet and two bowl washbasins. The whirlpool bath is accessed via a natural stone staircase and above it is the large window that opens onto the patio, where the morning sun shines in. It has underfloor heating and a transom heater.

At the end of the corridor is the breakfast conservatory, it is a fresh green colour, the espresso machine is there. Right next to the door to the kitchen, which like the bathroom is classically kept in natural stone. There you will find everything you could wish for in a kitchen, ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge with extra freezer compartment, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, juicer and a complete range of cooking utensils.

From there you go to the patio where there is a barbecue, a sink with a small work surface and a cosy sitting area, where the sun shines in from early breakfast to afternoon coffee. The patio is surrounded by a wall and invites you to sunbathe. The garden has a flowering, subtropical design. Directly at the breakfast conservatory there is another toilet, the stairs to the flat roof and the glass door leading to the small garden and the pool area.

The living area is divided into two different atmospheres. The front part is glazed in a discreet anthracite with a golden shimmer, the venerable Churchill seating group in front of the fireplace is reminiscent of old manor houses. A lovingly crafted wooden ship as a table reminds one of being on an island. Visavis, a flat-screen TV hangs on the wall, with a hi-fi cinema system in which DVD, USB, MP3 use is possible. There is also a small selection of music (from classical to salsa). A bookshelf for browsing, as well as telephone (separate billing) and internet connection is available. The fireplace can be heated, there is new central heating throughout the house. Through a large silver arch with a gauzy curtain we enter a completely different atmosphere.

The three-piece table was built from the old shutters. In the back area it becomes spacious, a restored classic armchair, a divan, an old piano testify to the joy of the mix of styles. The entire living area is on the west side, along the entire length there is a narrow terrace with extra comfortable "feet up" loungers to enjoy the sunset, the wide view over El Paso, the valley and the sea. If it gets chilly, there is also a winter garden which is always warmed up by the sun of the day. From here you can also reach the small south garden where you can find shady spots under an orange tree or a pineapple guava tree. There is the in-house infrared sauna and the small gate to the shared pool area and past a small cave leads back to the patio.

The pool can be heated through the sliding elements. When the elements are closed in the sunshine, the water is heated. At night, the elements should be closed so that the water does not cool down. Despite the heating provided by the sliding elements, it may not be possible to achieve a water temperature that is comfortable for the user on some days. This can happen if, for example, there is little or no sunshine on some days. Fortunately, however, this happens only rarely... can be heated through the sliding elements. Despite the heating provided by the sliding elements, it may not be possible to achieve a water temperature that is comfortable for the user on some days. On the approx. 150sqm flat roof you have an impressive all-round view and at night a fantastic starry sky.
